AskWeb AI ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension collects, uses, and discloses information.

1. Information Collection and Use

• Web Page Content: When you click "Summarize" or interact with the extension, we extract the text content of your currently active tab.
• Third-Party APIs: This text content is sent directly to your configured third-party AI provider (e.g., Google Gemini or OpenAI) to generate summaries or answer questions. We do not store or transmit this data to our own servers.
• User Settings and API Keys: Your API keys and extension preferences are stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage sync mechanism. We do not have access to your API keys.

2. Data Retention

We do not collect, log, or store your web browsing history, the content you summarize, or any personally identifiable information on any external servers. All processing is either done locally or sent directly from your browser to the third-party AI provider you choose.
